ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ കൊല്‍ക്കത്തക്ക് ആദ്യ ജയം

പത്തു ദിവസത്തെ ഇടവേളയ്ക്കുശേഷം മടങ്ങിയെത്തിയ ഐഎസ്‌എലില്‍ ആദ്യ ജയം എടികെയ്‌ക്കൊപ്പം. ഡല്‍ഹി ഡൈനാമോസിനെ ഒന്നിനെതിരെ രണ്ടു ഗോളുകള്‍ക്ക് എടികെ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തി.

ബല്‍വന്ത് സിംഗും മൊറോക്കന്‍ താരം എല്‍ മൈമുനിയുമാണ് എടികെയ്ക്കായി ഗോള്‍ നേടിയത്. പ്രീതം കോട്ടാല്‍ ഡല്‍ഹിയുടെ ആശ്വാസ ഗോള്‍ നേടി. ആദ്യ പകുതിയില്‍ ബല്‍വന്ത് സിംഗിന്റെ ഗോളില്‍ എടികെ മുന്നിലെത്തിയെങ്കിലും രണ്ടാം പകുതിയുടെ തുടക്കത്തില്‍ പ്രീതം കോട്ടാലിലൂടെ ഡല്‍ഹി തിരിച്ചടിച്ചു. കളി സമനിലയിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങുമ്ബോള്‍ കൗണ്ടര്‍ അറ്റാക്കിലൂടെയാണ് എടികെ ഗോള്‍ നേടിയത്. എല്‍ മൗമുനിയാണ് സ്‌കോര്‍ ചെയ്തതെങ്കിലും ജയേഷ് റാണയായിരുന്നു ഗോളിനു വഴിയൊരുക്കിയത്. മധ്യവരയ്ക്കു അരികിനിന്നും ഡല്‍ഹി ബോക്‌സിലേക്ക് പറന്നുകയറിയ റാണ മൗമുനിക്ക് ഗോള്‍ പാകത്തില്‍ പന്ത് നല്‍കുകയായിരുന്നു. ജയത്തോടെ ആദ്യ രണ്ട് മത്സരങ്ങളും തോറ്റ എടികെ തിരിച്ചുവരവ് ഗംഭീരമാക്കി.

 ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ കൊല്‍ക്കത്തയ്ക്ക് സീസണിലെ ആദ്യ ജയം. ഒന്നിനെതിരെ രണ്ടു ഗോളുകള്‍ക്കാണ് കൊല്‍ക്കത്ത സീസണിലെ ആദ്യ ജയം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. മത്സരം അവസാനിക്കാന്‍ മിനുട്ടുകള്‍ മാത്രം ബാക്കി നില്‍ക്കെ മൈമൂനി നുസൈര്‍ നേടിയ ഗോളാണ് കൊല്‍ക്കത്തയ്ക്ക് സീസണിലെ ആദ്യ പോയത് നേടി കൊടുത്തത്.

മത്സരം മികച്ച രീതിയില്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ എ.ടി.കെ 20ആം മിനുട്ടില്‍ ബല്‍വന്ത് സിംഗിന്റെ ഗോളിലൂടെ മുന്‍പിലെത്തി. ലാന്‍സറൊട്ടേയുടെ പാസ് സ്വീകരിച്ച മനോഹരമായി ഒരു ഫിനിഷിംഗിലൂടെ ബല്‍വന്ത് സിങ് ഗോളാക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. എ.ടി.കെയുടെ സീസണിലെ ആദ്യ ഗോള്‍ കൂടിയായിരുന്നു ഇത്. തുടര്‍ന്ന് രണ്ടാം പകുതിയിലാണ് പ്രീതം കോട്ടലിലൂടെ ഡല്‍ഹി സമനില പിടിച്ചത്. ഡല്‍ഹിക്ക് അനുകൂലമായി ലഭിച്ച കോര്‍ണറില്‍ നിന്നാണ് കോട്ടല്‍ ഗോള്‍ നേടിയത്.

തുടര്‍ന്ന് മത്സരം സമനിലയിലാവസാനിക്കുമെന്ന് തോന്നിച്ച ഘട്ടത്തിലാണ് മൈമൂനി നേടിയ ഗോളിലൂടെ എ.ടി.കെ വിജയം പിടിച്ചെടുത്തത്. ജയേഷ് റാണയുടെ മികച്ച മുന്നേറ്റമാണ് ഗോളില്‍ കലാശിച്ചത്.

 Super-sub Noussair El Maimouni scores late goal as ATK edge past Delhi Dynamos 2-1

Kalu Uche started against his former employers but it was the man who replaced him in the second-half who scored the match-winner.

Noussair El Maimouni's second-half goal after coming on as a substitute gave ATK a 2-1 win over Delhi Dynamos at the JLN Stadium on Wednesday. 

A fast start to the match by both teams saw the midfielders struggling to keep hold of the ball. Regular turnovers, however, did not result in clear-cut chances to score.

ATK were out of their blocks quickly and showed intent with their press. Manuel Lanzarote and Kalu Uche combined well and surged forward. The duo's threat sucked the Delhi backline out of position, leaving Balwant in a space inside the box. The former Mumbai City striker took too long to get his shot away and when he finally did, it was easily blocked by Shubham Sarangi who had tracked back

Delhi's preference to play out from the back almost gifted ATK a goal. Dorronsoro's pass to Vinit Rai was intercepted by Pronay Halder who released Uche into the box. The former Delhi Dynamos striker bamboozled Rana Gharami with a couple of shoulder drops before shooting at goal. The goalie made amends, going low to keep out the forward's effort. 

The hosts' sloppiness was punished in the 20th minute with a lovely piece of build-up play. Ricky Lallawmawma stole the ball high up the pitch and passed it to Lanzarote. The midfielder played a quick one-two with Halder before lobbing the ball to Balwant in the box. The striker cut inside to send Pritam Kotal the wrong way and neatly curled a shot into the top right corner of the net. 

Although ATK ended the first-half as the better side, the hosts responded soon after the break with a goal made by their defensive line.

Narayan Das' 54th-minute corner kick towards the far post was headed across the goal by Rana Gharami. The looping header was guided into the net by Pritam Kotal to bring the Lions back into the game.

Delhi Dynamos' recharged batteries put Coppell's side to the sword as the second-half progressed. The Lions took control of the game and were the team that looked like finding a winner. Adian Carmona's entry onto the field in place of Shubham Sarangi was making a difference until the 84th minute when Steve Coppell responded with a substitution of his own. 

Noussair El Maimouni replaced Kalu Uche and made an instant impact. Stealing the ball of Carmona from his own half, the striker embarked on a lung-busting run forward. He played it to Lanzarote who found Jayesh Rane in space to the right. Rane entered the box, cut the ball back to Maimouni who placed his effort well past Dorronsoro. 

ATK ended the match as the victors in a closely fought battle and registered their first points on the league table.
